This sounding sextant is a reproduction of a rare and unique sextant. The sounding sextant has a wide aspect ratio frame and no swing arm filters. Both the index and horizon mirrors are fully adjustable, and there is a slow motion control to allow fine adjustment of the elevation angle. This sextant has a beautiful antique patina and measures 5 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches wide, 3 1/4 inches deep, and weighs one pound. A beautiful handmade solid hardwood storage and display box is included with the sextant.
